Star Trek sequel coming at warp speed?
The sequel to Star Trek could start shooting by as early as the end of the year.
Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty in the sci-fi franchise reboot, admitted that he has been nagging director J.J. Abrams to kickstart work on the second movie:
“I bug J.J. on a regular basis and he just fobs me off. But I saw Zoe Saldana recently and she reckons that it’s going to be soon.
“I would imagine it’ll be toward the end of the year, but I can’t guarantee it.”
The untitled sequel is expected for release in 2012.
