Latest additions to the remake; plus first photo released.
Director Michael Hoffman’s remake of the 1966 caper movie ‘Gambit’ starring Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz and Alan Rickman has increased its cast by two. Joining Firth and Diaz will be Stanley Tucci (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’) and the legendary actress Cloris Leachman (‘New York, I Love You,’ ‘The Last Picture Show’).
‘Gambit’ centers on a British art curator Harry Deane (Firth) who comes up with a fool-proof plan to steal an expensive statue from one of the richest men in the world and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, (Alan Rickman). His strategy involves the participation of a beautiful woman (Diaz) who happens to be the spitting image of the rich man’s late wife. But nothing goes as planned.
The movie, penned by Joel and Ethan Coen, is currently in production on location in London.
