Sylvester Stallone’s 1993 box office hit Cliffhanger is set for a remake.
French firm StudioCanal and Neal Moritz’s Original Films are teaming up to overhaul the Renny Harlin action movie, reports Variety.
“Just as they rebooted Star Trek, we’re going to do the same with Cliffhanger,” Moritz commented.
The reboot will follow a group of young climbers across several mountain locations. The original grossed $255 million at the worldwide box office
