SPACE JAM Sequel In Development With Justin Lin

‘Fast and Furious 6’ and ‘Star Trek Beyond’ director Justin Lin is in talks to take the reins for a sequel to the 1996 live-action/animated sports comedy ‘Space Jam,’ according to THR.

The original starred then-Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan, who teamed up with the cast of Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Porky Pig, etc.) to battle a group of aliens in an epic basketball game.

LeBron James, who made his acting debut with the Judd Apatow/ Amy Schumer comedy ‘Trainwreck,’ is attached to star.

Rumours of a ‘Space Jam’ sequel have been floating since last year after James and his company SpringHill Entertainment signed a deal with Warner Bros.
