“Slumdog Millionare” Simon Beaufoy to write Dublin based romantic comedy.
Writer Simon Beaufoy has been tapped to pen “Leap Year”, a new romantic comedy starring Amy Adams.
Set
in Ireland, Adams plays an uptight woman who comes to Dublin to propose
to her boyfriend on Feb 29th. When weather rerails her trip she enlists
the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to pull off the perfect proposal in
time.
Beaufoy
recently received an Oscar nod for penning “Slumdog Millionare”. Other
credits for the writer include “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day,” “Blow
Dry” and “The Full Monty.”
