‘Sons of Anarchy’ star will topline the adaptation…

Deadline is reporting Shawn Crahan, better known as “Clown”from the hard rock band Slipknot, is set to make his feature directorial debut with an adaptation of Joe Casey and artist Chris Burnham’s graphic novel ‘Officer Downe.’

Set up over at Man of Action Studios, the film follows “a Los Angeles cop who is often killed in the line of duty, but is telekinetically resurrected by his superiors and sent back onto the streets.”

Kim Coates (‘Sons Of Anarchy’) will play the title character.

Mark Neveldine (‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,’ ‘Crank’) and Skip Williamson(‘Gamer,’ ‘Underworld’) will produce alongside Casey, who will also provide the script. Cory Brennan, Slipknot’s manager, will serve as executive producer.
