SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR Adds Dennis Haysbert

Replacing the late Michael Clarke Duncan.

Actor Dennis Haysbert, probably spent known for playing the U.S. president on ‘24,’ has landed the a role in ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,’ reports Heat Vision.

Using the ‘A Dame to Kill For’ storyline as the basis, along with new stories penned by Miller, the sequel follows hard-boiled antihero Dwight McCarthy as he becomes entangled in a complicated and deadly relationship with an ex-lover, the manipulative femme fatale Ava Lord.

Haysbert will be taking over the role of Manute, played by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the original film. The character is the brutal and seemingly unstoppable right-hand man of Ava’s husband.

In a statement, Rodriguez said, “Manute is a character that has been part of the heart of the Sin City tales, and the late Michael Clarke Duncan beautifully established that role onscreen. We could not tell the story of ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill’ For without Manute and are thrilled to welcome Dennis Haysbert to the cast.”
