McKay: Simon Pegg is just one of THE BOYS.
Director Adam McKay is eying Simon Pegg for his upcoming comic book movie The Boys.
Based on the work of Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson, the story follows the exploits of a squad of CIA agents who watch over superheroes who step out of line. The character of Hugh Campbell is based on Pegg.
Speaking to CHUD, director McKay explained: “I haven’t officially signed on yet, so I haven’t had any conversations with anyone, but he’s [Pegg] got to do it. It has to be”.
McKay’s next film will beThe Other Guys, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
