Sienna Miller (‘A Case of You,’ ‘Just Like A Woman,’ ‘Factory Girl’) and Chloë Sevigny (‘Little Accidents,’ ‘The Last Days of Disco,’ ‘Zodiac’) are set to star in ‘Love and Friendship,’ a period comedy based on Jane Austen’s short novel ‘Lady Susan.’

Miller will take the lead, playing the beautiful, flirtatious, and recently widowed, Lady Susan Vernon as she attempts to find a second husband for herself, while attempting to push her daughter into a dismal match. Sevigny will play a close friend of Lady Susan.

Oscar-nominated writer/director Whit Stillman (‘Damsels in Distress,’ ‘The Last Days of Disco,’ ‘Metropolitan’) is behind the camera for the film with filming to take place in Ireland this summer.

Katie Holly of Dublin-based Blinder Films (‘Citadel’) will produce alongside Stillman’s banner, Westerly Films. The project received €250,000 from the Irish Film Board.
