Shia LaBeouff and Tom Hardy Going Bootlegging
Shia LaBeouf (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) and Inception’s Tom Hardy will star in director John Hillcoat’s The Wettest County in the World.
Adapted from a novel by Matt Bondurant, this true story revolves around a moonshine gang operating in the bootlegging capital of America — Franklin County, Va. — during Prohibition. The novel draws its roots from Bondurant’s grandfather and two granduncles, who made up a fierce criminal gang at the center of the country’s moonshine trade.
Nick Cave wrote the screenplay for the film, which is scheduled to start filming in the spring.
