‘Will & Grace’ actor joins the Farrelly Brothers-directed adaptation.
Sean Hayes has been cast as Larry Fine in the ‘The Three Stooges.’ Hayes is best known for playing Jack McFarland on ‘Will & Grace.’
The actor joins the previously announced Will Sasso as Curly in the big screen outing of the iconic threesome. The role of the last stooge, Moe, is still up for grabs. Hank Azaria is rumoured to be circling the role, but as always, until confirmed, consider it exactly that… a rumour.
The Farrelly Brothers-directed adaptation is being structured like multiple episodes of the classic TV series put back to back, with three 27-minute segments driven by physical comedy.
‘The Three Stooges’ was a hugely successful franchise of shorts, television episodes, and feature-length films beginning in the 1930s with lasting success even through today. The stooges originally consisted of Moe Howard, his brother Shemp (and later Curly), and Larry Fine.
