Filmmaking legend to produce biopic of the luxury carmaker.

Martin Scorsese (‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ ‘Hugo’) is to team up with Lord Richard Attenborough (‘Shadowlands,’ ‘Ghandi’) and Anthony Haas to produce the Rolls Royce biopic ‘Silver Ghost.’

Set at the turn of the last century, the film will trace the story of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce and the founding of the automobile brand, as well as the secret love affair that inspired ‘The Spirit of Ecstasy,’ the iconic symbol of Rolls-Royce.

Talking to Variety, Scorsese said: “When I read the story of ‘Silver Ghost,’ I was mesmerized. I immediately thought, ‘This is a picture that has to be made.’ And when I was asked to come aboard as a producer alongside Richard Attenborough and Anthony Haas, I didn’t hesitate for a moment.”
