Scorsese and De Niro reteaming

Scorsese plans mobster pic with De Niro

Shutter Island director Martin Scorsese is looking to reteam with Robert De Niro on a project that will be related to the mobster world:

“Bob De Niro (and I) are talking about something that has to do with that world,” Scorsese said at the premiere of his new psychological thriller at the Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday.

“There’s no doubt about that,” he added. “We’re working on something like that, but it’s from the vantage point of older men looking back, none of this running around stuff.”

Scorsese and De Niro worked together on such classics as Raging Bull, Taxi Driver and Cape Fear. The last time they teamed up was for Casino in 1995.
