Scoot McNairy (‘Argo,’ ‘Killing Them Softly,’ ‘Monsters’) has closed a deal to join Jude Law for the submarine thriller ‘Black Sea.’
With Kevin Macdonald (‘The Eagle,’ ‘State of Play,’ ‘The Last King of Scotland’) behind the camera, the film follows a submarine captain (Law) who is laid off by a salvage company and makes a deal with a shadowy backer to search the depths of the Black Sea for a sub that’s rumoured to be loaded with gold.
McNairy will take the role of an American who convinces Law’s captain to undertake the mission.
