Schwarzenegger Confirmed for THE TOMB

Former governor locked in for action thriller.

It has been confirmed, via a press release, that Arnold Schwarzenegger will indeed be starring alongside Sylvester Stallone in the action thriller ‘The Tomb.’

Written by Miles Chapman, with a rewrite by Jason Keller, ‘The Tomb’ follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.

Schwarzenegger will take the role of Church, a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

Directing the action icons will be Swedish filmmaker Mikael Håfström (‘The Rite,’ ‘1408’).

Schwarzenegger and Stallone will next be seen on screen together in ‘The Expendables 2’ when it arrives in cinemas later this year. The pair recently bumped into each other… in the hospital of all places, Schwarzenegger posted the following image via Whosay.

“After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we’re ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb. #greattobeback”
