Sarah Jessica Parker Scrapped

Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering on the island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger clan. Her beloved uncle is convinced it was murder and that the killer is a member of his own tightly knit but dysfunctional family. He employs disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed and troubled but resourceful computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate. When the pair link the disappearance of Harriet to a number of grotesque murders from almost forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history. The Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s latest movie has been scrapped after the finished project failed to find a distributor. The film ‘Spinning Into Butter’, with Miranda Richardson and Beau Bridges, stars Parker as a college dean dealing with a race related hate crime on campus.

The film had premiered at the National Conference on Race, Reparation and Reconciliation Sept. 14 in Atlanta, however, since then, the film was hit by delay after delay as producers struggled to get it into theatres. The ‘Sex and City’ actress is resigned to the fact the film may never see the light of day. She says, “It’s in that purgatory that many movies find themselves. One enters these endeavours with the best of intentions, but sometimes they don’t work out.”

Disappointed fans of Parker can however look forward to the upcoming release of the Sex and the City movie, May 30th. The full theatrical trailer is included below to cheer you up.
