Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have announced that Sandra Bullock has signed on to lend her voice to the ‘Despicable Me’ spinoff, ‘Minions.’
In ‘Minions,’ we discover that the unpredictably hilarious Minions have actually existed throughout history, always seeking out the most despicable master to serve. At a time before they met their current boss Gru (Steve Carell), the Minions encountered Scarlet Overkill (Bullock), a stylish and bad-ass super-villain bent on world domination.
The 3D-CG comedy will be directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda from a screenplay by Brian Lynch. ‘Minions’ is set for release December 2014. ‘Despicable Me 2’ arrives in Irish cinemas June 2013.
