Sacha Baron Cohen Joins DJANGO UNCHAINED

Two more board Tarantino’s western.

The cast of Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ just gets better and better with each casting and now it is being reported that Sacha Baron Cohen is in final negotiations for a small role.

Jamie Foxx stars as Django, a freed slave who, under the tutelage of German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), becomes a bounty hunter himself, and sets out to rescue his slave wife, Broomhilda (played by Kerry Washington), from her sadistic slave master and plantation owner Monsieur Calvin Candie (played by Leonardo DiCaprio).

The ‘Borat’ and ‘Bruno’ star will play Scotty, a gambler who buys Broomhilda as a female companion. Variety’s sources say that while the part is small, Tarantino was very particular on who he wanted to play it, given the character’s importance to the story.

Deadline adds that Rex Linn (‘CSI: Miami’) has also joined the cast as Tennessee Harry. Production is slated to kick off early 2012.
