Ryan Reynolds (‘Deadpool,’ ‘Woman In Gold’) is in final negotiations to star in the dramedy ‘Truth In Advertising,’ to be directed by Roger Michell (‘Notting Hill,’ ‘Hyde Park On Hudson,’ ‘Changing Lanes’).

Set to start principal photography next year, the screenplay was written by John Kenney, who adapted the script from his critically acclaimed debut novel of the same name.

When Fin Dolan’s (Reynolds) boss asks him to cancel his Christmas vacation to work on an ad campaign, his best friend announces that she has just been proposed to and his estranged father lands in the hospital, Fin begins to wonder why everyone else is moving forward with their lives while he is stuck in neutral.

The Solution Entertainment Group’s co-founders and partners, Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel (‘Man Down,’ ‘Bleed for This’) who are financing and producing the film alongside Lynn Hendee (‘Ender’s Game’) and William Chartoff (‘Creed’).
