Beyonce and Andy Samberg to co-star.
Ryan Murphy (‘Glee,’ ‘American Horror Story,’ ‘Eat Pray Love’) is set to direct Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce and Andy Samberg in the musical comedy ‘One Hit Wonders.’
The comedy follows three singers (Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz) who each scored a top hit song in the 1990s before watching their careers go down the drain. The trio then decide to form a super group in an attempt to find new glory.
According to Deadline, Samberg and his The Lonely Island cohorts, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, will be writing the music for the film. Along with directing, Murphy is set to write the script with Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk.
