A woman tries to survive the invasion of Berlin by the Soviet troops during the last days of World War II. The RTÉ Concert Orchestra goes to the movies tonight, March 4th at the National Concert Hall. In Screen Idols, Rachel Weston and Gary Williams celebrate Hollywood’s leading men and leading ladies, ranging from the vintage era of Garland and Astaire to more recent Hollywood heroes, such as Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise. Conducted by John Wilson, who recently performed the newly restored ‘Wizard of Oz’ score along side the classic film at the Helix, Screen Idols is one for all film and music fans.
