Rosamund Pike Lands Female Lead In David Fincher’s GONE GIRL

Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry may co-star.

‘Jack Reacher’ actress Rosamund Pike has scored the female lead opposite Ben Affleck in David Fincher’s adaptation of the Gillian Flynn bestseller ‘Gone Girl.’

Expected to begin principal photography in September, the contemporary thriller revolves around Amy Dunne, a woman who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary, with all the roads leading to her husband (Affleck) as the killer.

THR adds that Neil Patrick Harris (‘How I Met Your Mother’) and Tyler Perry (‘Alex Cross’) are being eyed for supporting roles.

Reese Witherspoon, who optioned the rights to the book with her Pacific Standard partner Bruna Papandrea, will produce the adaptation with Leslie Dixon.
