Ron Howard’s INFERNO Eyes Ben Foster for Villain Role

‘Da Vinci Code’ sequel looking to Foster to play the big bad…

Ben Foster (‘Warcraft,’ ‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’) is in negotiations to join the cast of ‘Inferno,’ the third cinematic outing of Tom Hanks’ Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon.

‘Inferno’ continues the story of Langdon (Hanks) as he wakes in an Italian hospital with amnesia. He teams up with Sienna Brooks (played ‘Theory of Everything’ star Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s “Inferno.”

According to THR, Foster is up for the role of the villain.

Irrfan Khan (‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ ‘Life of Pi’), French actor Omar Sy (‘The Intouchables,’ ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ ‘Jurassic World’), and Sidse Babett (‘Borgen’) also star.

Filming is slated to begin in Europe in April with Ron Howard in the director’s chair.
