Sam Rockwell Joins The Winning Season
Sam Rockwell has signed on to high school comedy pic ‘The Winning Season’.
Rockwell joins Emma Roberts and Rob Corddry in the film, which tells the tale of a has-been coach (Rockwell) who is given a shot at redemption when he’s asked to run the local high school’s girls basketball team. Roberts is cast as a player he befriends, and Corddry will play the school’s principal.
James Strouse (Grace Is Gone) will direct from his own script. Filming is due to get underway next month. Rockwell’s recent credits include ‘Snow Angels’ and the upcoming movies ‘Choke and ‘Frost/Nixon’. Corddry appeared in such comedies as ‘Semi-Pro’ and ‘What Happens in Vegas.’ Roberts stars in Nickelodeon’s ‘Unfabulous.’
