Actress signs up for supporting role.
Emma Roberts (‘The Art of Getting By,’ ‘Scream 4’) is set to join Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson on the cast of Dito Montiel’s heist drama ‘Empire State,’ reports Variety.
Based on true events that took place in 1982, the Adam Mazer penned screenplay centers on two childhood friends from Astoria, N.Y., who plan to rob an armoured car depository.Hemsworth (‘The Hunger Games,’ ‘The Expendables 2’) will be playing one of friends, while Johnson will take the role of the NYPD detective out to arrest them. Roberts’ role will be that of a waitress who serves as a potential love interest for Hemsworth’s character.
Production is scheduled to kick off next month.
