Some like it Hot actor Tony Curtis dies
Actor Tony Curtis has died at 85, Entertainment Tonight is reporting.
A representive of his daughter Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed the actor’s death, the entertainment news show said.
Curtis received an Oscar nomination in 1959 for his role in “The Defiant Ones,” in which he starred opposite Sidney Poitier.
Born Bernard Schwartz in the Bronx on June 3, 1925, Curtis appeared in more than 100 films, including Some Like it Hot, Spartacus, The Great Race and The Boston Strangler.
Curtis had been in poor health for the last several years. He was hospitalized in July after an asthma attack.
