Ring Of Roses set for the bigscreen

Graphic novel Ring Of Roses heading to the bigscreen

The graphic novel Ring Of Roses will be adapted for cinemas, reports Variety.

Set in an alternate version of 21st century London, the original story follows a lawyer and his criminal acquaintance as they investigate a series of murders. While on the case, the pair uncover a conspiracy involving the release of the bubonic plague as a cover-up to a plot against the establishment.

The 144-page book was created by Das Petrou and illustrated by John Watkiss.

The film will take place in New York. Creator Petrou added “I can tell you that the movie shifts the action from London to New York – but in a very different America to the one we all know. The characters and dark atmosphere that pervade the original remain – as does the bubonic plague,” he explained.
