Ridley Scott to make film version of TV’s Red Riding trilogy

Ridley Scott is in talks to driect a big screen remake of Channel 4’s miniseries Red Riding.


According to reports, Columbia has bought the rights to the three-part series, which is based on The Damned United author David Peace’s crime novels about the Yorkshire Ripper serial killer case and police corruption.


Steve Zallian is expected to write the film, which will move the action from the UK to the US.
