Burned out veteran Eddie Dugan is just one week away from his pension and a fishing cabin in Connecticut. Ridley Scott is to direct and produce period noir thriller The Kind One.
Casey Affleck is already on board to star in the film based on a script by Tom Epperson from his own novel. The story revolves around an amnesiac (Affleck) in 1930s LA who is told he works for a sadistic mobster nicknamed ‘The Kind One’. He ends up falling for the killer’s girlfriend after being asked to keep an eye on her.
The movie is co-produced by Sean Bailey, who worked with Affleck on crime drama ‘Gone Baby Gone’.
