Thewlis on board for sequel.
David Thewlis (‘War Horse,’ ‘The Lady,’ ‘Harry Potter’) has become the latest addition to the cast of the Dean Parisot-directed action sequel ‘Red 2,’ according to THR.
The British actor joins a cast that includes returning stars Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich and newcomers Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Byun-Hun Lee.
Thewlis will be playing “The Frog,” an information dealer who got his name by poisoning the water supply at the Kremlin using a poisonous Amazonian frog.
Production is set to begin in the coming months in Montreal.
