Sam Raimi drops Jack Ryan to concentrate on ‘Spider-Man’
Spidey helmer Sam Raimi has left the director’s chair of the next Jack Ryan movie to focus on the superhero franchise.
Raimi told reporters that scheduling has forced him to make a choice between helming a prequel to the Tom Clancy spy series and making a fourth Spider-Man.
“I love Tom Clancy, and I hope they’d keep me in mind,” he revealed, “but because I’m committed to Spider-Man and making that picture, I think it’s going to knock me out of the running for the Jack Ryan picture.”
