Liam Neeson to go up against Boris ‘The Blade’ Yurinov.
Serbian actor Rade Sherbedgia (‘X-Men: First Class,’ ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I,’ ‘Snatch’) has joined the cast of ‘Taken 2,’ taking the role of the movie’s villain.
Sherbedgia will be playing Murad, the father of a kidnapper slain by Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) in the first film. Heat Vision describes the character “as a vengeful man who gives orders and doesn’t take them.” When he takes Mills and his wife (Famke Janssen) hostage, their daughter (Maggie Grace) is enlisted to help save them.
‘Taken 2’ has ‘Colombiana’ helmer Olivier Megaton in the director’s chair, with a screenplay by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The project will begin shooting later this month.
