Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe winning actress Rachel Griffiths (‘Saving Mr. Banks,’ ‘Six Feet Under,’ ‘Muriel’s Wedding’) has signed on to take the lead role in Irish writer/director Rebecca Daly’s next feature, ‘Mammal.’
‘Mammal’ is a compelling and unorthodox love story between a woman (Griffiths) who has lost her son in tragic circumstances and the relationship she develops with a homeless youth.
Irish rising actor Barry Keoghan (‘Love/Hate,’ ‘Trespass Against Us’) will star opposite Griffiths, playing the young man.
Daly, whose debut feature ‘The Other Side of Sleep’ premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Directors Fortnight, will be directing from a script she co-wrote with Glenn Montgomery.
‘Mammal’ will shoot in Dublin and Luxembourg in October.
