Roday stepping behind camera for dark comedy.
It has been announced that filming has commenced on ‘Gravy,’ a genre bending thriller that marks the feature directorial debut of ‘Psych’ star James Roday.
Co-written by Roday and Todd Harthan, the blood-splattered dark comedy is said to follow three friends who head to a Mexican cantina on Halloween night with a taste for more than what is on the menu.
The cast includes Michael Weston, Jimmi Simpson, Sarah Silverman, Sutton Foster, Lily Cole, Gabourey Sidibe, Molly Ephraim, Paul Rodriguez, Lothaire Bluteau, Ethan Sandler and Gabriel Luna.
Kerry Rock and Craig Chapman are producing. Myles Nestel of The Solution Entertainment Group is on board to serve as executive producer with Larry Taube and Todd Harthan.
