I think they shot themselves in the foot, talking up a stronger storyline compared to part 2. Really there's little plot to speak of and some plot holes you could drive Optimus Prime through. The combat sequences are much improved and at least it is now easier to make out what's happening on screen.

One of the few films lately that I have actually laughed at. Well written, even the supporting characters are well sketched out and teh whole thing zips along.

Emma Roberts grates a bit but most of the cast do a good job. Clever in parts, funny in others...as for scary? Well A few cheap jumps but not all that atmospheric

Smart and thrilling. Not as bombastic as expected by the trailer but all in all a better movie than I had anticipated. Jake Gylenhall suits the role perfectly. Quite clever and surprisingly touching.

The leads have great chemisrty. Entertaining and worth checking out but ironically falls into a deus ex machina ending.

Ticked all the right boxes for me. Perhaps a bit too much of a retread of part one though for me to have any enthusiasm for a part three.

Charismatic lead. Fresh if unsurprising take on a well trodden genre. A lot to like here.

Really Mr Shyamalan I don't know why I expected different...but this is the last time you get the price of a movie ticket from me. Awful, silly and oh so predictable.

Fun enough. Felt more like a tv pilot than a big screen adventure...and having said that 'Alias' did it better.

I wanted to love this film and give it 5 stars....It was so much fun. quirky and unique. I did think that story wise nothing unexpected happened and every turn of the plot was overly sign posted well in advance. Also it was hard to see what Scott and Ramona were meant to see in eachother. Both are total narcissists.

As a movie it was ok, fun and diverting. It did feel more like afeature length tv pilot...lots of world building that didnt really go anywhere.

Inoffensive, ticks all the boxes the original did. But lacks anything to make it stand out, or curcially, be in any way exciting.
