I have to say I actually quite enjoyed this. I wasn't expecting the best film ever when I went into it, so maybe that has something to do with giving it so high a rating...but I honestly believe it is a good all rounder. It has an interesting story line, characters were great, jokes were great...all in all a great film.

Tron: Legacy

Have to say... I think we all know what to expect when we go into these types of films, re-dos etc and that is shit all... I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The plot was great, the acting was amazing and I actually found it remaining quite true to the original, although I Would have liked to see more the tanks and the "bits" (you may have seen a couple of bit statues in Flynns house in the Tron virtual universe). Anyway, I wouldn't say it was better than the original, but a worthy sucessor that has left me wanting more, and I hope that follows in the next 2 years with the next installment. Well done Tron Legacy, that was excellent...from a hard-core Tron fanatic.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

I dont know what the hell I just watched when I went to see it.... Is it just me or did the plot seem to go absolutely nowhere? I cannot for the life me understand the film, it just had no wow factor, there wasn't any major character revelations, or really any story progression what so ever. I was expecting so much mroe from this given the last ones, this felt like a trailer as opposed to a feature length film, they seemed to miss out half of it.

The Expendables

Don't know how this is maintaining a 5 star rating in all honesty.. It's not exactly a bad film, but its not great either. Seemed to be another sly-fest, and while there was a good bit of violence and action and just good fight scenes i felt the script and story were just far too generic, predictable and cheesey (not in a good way). I enjoyed the majority of the fight scenes, but in all honesty I oculd live without it...given the star that were being imported into this film it should have been soooo much better

Thor

Have to say I really enjoyed this flick! Started off really well, intro to the characters, where they come from, what is going on etc which is useful as I'll bet everyone is/was not aware of it. Casting wise I think they did very well, Thor was perfectly casted, as was Odin, Loki and Jane. Loved all of them, felt connected to the characters at the important points which is always a bonus. Special effects were great! Didn't see one bit of cheesey crappy cgi anywhere (cough wolverine), scenery and the way the realms were blended was excellent, I'd say almost flawless. My only gripe is with the 3D which was utterly useless other than the starting credits. You'd think a film about someone who throws a giant hammer would be somewhere you could actually use the 3d to wow the audience, but alas it was, as with every other 3d film, terrible, I really wish they would just give up on 3D...completely pointless. I didn't like the end credits scene at all, I was really hoping that they would setup the next avenger film, as they have done with all the others, Iron Man gave way for Thor etc...was hoping to see Spiderman, or Captain america or maybe another one yet unknown! but alas it was a nice mini-clip. All in all great film, comedy/action/story balance was achieved with almost perfect timing, was thrilling, and a joy to watch. Well done! :)

Personally I quite enjoyed it for the most part...not the best piece of film ever but kept my brain from concetrating on the pounding migraine i had at the time I found the story to be quite good, some of the acting was terrible, and for having such a large cast of experienced and skilled actors it seemed a pity to under-utilise them to the extent that they were. Anyway it got a laught or 2 so deserves 3 stars for effort, it was however too gappy in places in regards to the story etc.

Grown Ups

It gets an overall resounding "meh" in my book. It was ok for the most part, a couple of good gags but nothing new, nothing amazing and nothing breaking the bounds of modern cinema. Having said that what film does these days...still I actually enjoyed it, and sure if all a film gives me a couple of laughs then I would consider it a good enough film to get a couple of stars at least :)

Quite liked this. Not too sure about the actor playing the apprentice, but it was a good solid performance from cage, interesting story line and generally quite enjoyable. While not the best film of the year or anything, the special effects were good, story was good and we enjoyed watching it :D

Absolutely fantastic film. Just saw it to night and I was extremely impressed. Witty, funny full of action a tiny bit of romance and just great nerdy geekdomy fun! :D

Great film, I loved it. Have to say that I loved the general team that was made up. Wasn't all good, but I like that it stayed relatively true to the original A-Team series. One of the best re-makes around that I can re-call.

Compared to the original, no where near as good...however having said that compared to the piece of rubbish that were the AVP films this one returns us to the root origins of the Predators franchise. Good film, action packed and thrilling. Well worth the watch, hope you all enjoy it as much as I did

Iron Man 2

Initiallythought it was useless, but I think that might be just due to my expectations from the first one. All in all left me wanting more, and was quite funny although some of the jokes were not nearly as good as the first one. Defo worth a watch, some good bits especially when captain america makes a sort of appearance :P
