Great film. Loved most of it. Story, cast and script were great, and executed together with precision. A very up-beat and up-lifting film. I will agree that there are some terrible cliche moments in it, but they are completely over-shadowed by the story and the magnificent portrayal of Mandela done by the great Mr Freeman (no not the one from Half-life). My only gripe is that they didn't really show much back story. I would have loved if they went into how he got to where he was, how he survived etc, although that could have drastically changed the emotional direction. Anyway, get's 4 stars, unfortunately has to loose a star for the appaulable cliches, and well lack of back-story, but other than that is an excellent film that I would recommend to anyone.

Overall the film was quite enjoyable, one the condition that you don't expect much when you go in to watch it. I thought Downey put up a great portrayal of Holmes, and I liked the whole "deduction-time" combat sequence. Not the best thing ever created, but still enjoyed it, got some laughs, fight sequences were quite impressive, and I thought they captured the dynamic between Holmes and Watson quite well, although slightly over-board at stages where they almost acted like a couple. Recommended to watch anyway pretty much for all audiences.

Not the greatest fan of Will Smith...I have to say though that this was a great film. The story kept me going all the way along, and I have to admit even tugged at the awld heart strings at the end. Was a gripping and dramatic tale of a man trying to find redemption and help others. Good on ya Will, nice to see you making some quality flicks.

Going to give it 2 stars for the attempt. Unfortunately I found the story to be less than appealing, didn't really connect or enjoy the characters as much as I would have hoped. All in all its not terrible, watchable as a family flick maybe

as far as a Tarantino movie goes, it felt quite tame to me. Having said that i'm not the greatest fan of sadistic violence, which wasn't really in this one, a couple of scenes where there was a bit of cringing but other than that, it was fairly good. I liked the story line, and the fictional elements, altogether it was a nice package.

Script is horrid, absolutely horrid. The blood is far too over-exaggerated. It has some positives, the fight sequences in some parts are quite good, and I have no doubt that the main fellow seems to have some serious martial arts skills, having said that, the fact that the story its-self was fairly stale, the script was horrid, the "Europol" actors did not suit the roles at all, and that ending was just far too predictable. One of these "leave brain at home" films, in-fact you may want to leave all resemblance of intelligence at home as all you need to watch this is an eye-ball. Would I go see it again knowing what I know now? Not a hope...it was funny because it was so bad. How you go from producing the Matrix to this dribble is beyond me...

Great film. not the best film ever mind you, but in all fairness...ticked all the boxes. Story was dynamic and intense, kept me glued for the entire film...characters were rich and diverse, script was decent, as was acting and the cg was amazing aswell. Has to get 5 stars really...recommended for everyone.

I quite enjoyed this actually, not the best film ever but well worth watching. I sort of enjoy the conspiracy angle, and most of the actors made a good job of it. Go Tom Hanks!!
