"OK". Script was a little bland for my taste, but the comedy moments were quite well done. Well worth a see, but I wouldn't be re-watching it any time soon.

ungh just bad. Very slapstick comedy. While the acting was ok, everything was just too cheap. Everything felt disconnected and generally out of whack. 2 stars max for this I would say as its just not good enough for anything more...which is a pity as I really do love Zoey Deschannel!!

Green Lantern

I should say that before I went in I wasn't expecting much. The trailers released were't exactly giving me goosebumps. Ryan Reynolds was this films main saving grace. He did a great job and I thought held up the film quite well. I didn't think they went far enough in the "Constructs" and what he created, I was really hoping to see some more impressive stuff than a spring and an aa gun....e.g. in the cartoon he creates a sword the length of a ship to defeat a fleet of other ships...easier said than done but I think it could have been done. My main gripe with this is that the end battle took all of 2 seconds. The story seemed to be very slow up until one point when paralax invaded earth and was over in a matter of seconds...just far too quick no build up or anything just done. Having said that it was entertaining, I liked Reynolds portrayal of the lantern, although I felt they could have shown more of the green lantern core. Anyway all in all a sold 3 stars definitley, worth a watch but I wouldn't miss a day of work for it.

Loved it...if you have a choice between going to see this and the hangover 2, I would choose this. Looses one star as it wasn't the best film ever created, but was hilariously funny (as a one time watcher), well-written and beautifully acted out.

The Hangover Part II

It gets 3 stars simply because even though it was no where near as good as the first one, it still made me laugh, mostly cringe, but a good deal of laughing aswell. I personally felt that the main mistake was that they didn't do anything new with the story line...not cool for a sequel. Having said that there was an awful lot of acting effort put into it, and they've gotta get points for that, and for the quality of the acting. Solid 3 stars, however would recommend just re-watching the first one (as its timeless).

Gotta get 4 stars really. Considering the amount of drivvle that has come out of this Franchise, starting at x3 -> wolverine it's nice to see a fresh take on it. I felt that Xavier wasn't as powerful as he is supposed to be but perhaps he hasn't fully unlocked his abilities yet..who knows. All in all the story was thrilling, acting was amazing (other than Magneto apparently going from German -> American -> Irish accents throughout the film)...not sure why. Loved it all, Jennifer Lawrence was great as Mystique...aswell as just being drop-dead gorgeous. Anywho...loved the film, loved the story, all in all a great film well done! :)

Gotta get 4 stars, for me it lost one due to the ending being far too predictable. Having said that, the story was very absorbing, acting was great, as Usual Blanchett provides us with a very hateful villain. Bana played his role very well, believed he actually cared for Hanna so good job there. Saoirse did an excellent job, shes got a bright future in the movie industry. All in all was an excellent film, original for the most part and hit all the main points. Well done to all involved. Thanks Movies.ie for the tickets :)

Going to go with everyone else and give it a 3 star rating. Given Coopers rise to success with the Hangover, the ATeam etc, you would assume that putting him together with Robert De Niro would be an instant hit. But alas this is one of the examples of those films where just having big names isn't enough. Maybe i'm being too harsh, as I found both their performances quite good, I was entertained by the story, and definitley had no problems watching it. I thought it was really well directed, and while it wasn't quite as good as some of their other films, I do was always guessing what was going to happen (and was usually wrong :P)

ungh where to start... While I appreciate attempts to go down a different road and try new things...this was just horrid. The story made no sense, there seemed to be 3 or 4 different stories going on and it was just all a big mess. While the action sequences were quite good, the whole package just felt disjointed, I felt no connection to the characters, didn't feel anything other than confusion and wtf for most of the film Left with a sense of what did I just watch as I couldn't remember the story...was just all over the place.

It gets 2 stars for effort. I was initially intrigued from the beginning as I had no idea what was going on, but once the first elements of the story line started to piece together the film became all to predictable. For once, I haven't cringed at a performance by Johnson, I thought he was "ok" in the role, but still he wasn't really given much of a challenge outside his usual sit there and look like a bad-ass routine. Thornton was easily the movies biggest downfall, oh god was a spanner he is. His acting was horrid, and I didn't believe anything he said/did in anyway. Bad choice there casting directory. Overall the redemption thing kicked in far too soon...I liked the whole idea that he was thinking about being nice, then it would flash to images of his brother getting killed, and he would remember what he's doing. The ending was terribly predictable and unsurprising. All in all is watchable, and for the first 10 minutes is actually quite exciting, but still above factors let it down.

Went into this film expecting alot, basically expecting Taken 2.0...which is probably my main problem lol Liam Neeson is the films saving grace. Most of the actors are good but there are several that are just horrid horrid actors. The actor playing Liam Neeson's replacement is horrid, no offence intended it was just terrible acting, as was the part of his "boss" Overall it lacked most of the pzazz and umpf that Taken had and was nowhere near as good. It deserves a 3 star rating simply from a story perspective, other than that im afraid it was quite lacking, still enjoyable to watch though :)
