All of the musical numbers were fantastic, in particular Denise Dupree (Naturi Naughton) playing the piano in the theatre and the superb finale sequence. However I felt that in complete contrast to the 1980 version none of the characters were properly developed and no issues were dealt with. This is an all singing, all dancing feel good movie, but it lacks a sound story line and strong characters.

Brilliant film for anyone interested in radio and how it should be done! Fantastic soundtrack, great cast. I agree, it was a bit too long - I saw it twice in one day!
