Seen this at Moviefest over the weekend and really enjoyed, Loved a lot of David Koepp's stuff ,Ghost town,Stir of Echoes and many films he wrote this is deffo a change of genre for him him, some great bike stunts and a couple of edge of seat moments, good scenes were Wilee is picking his best route and you see the different what if's.reimded me a little bit of Cellular from a few years back,Shannon is a good bad guy.Well worth a trip to the pics and greatbike chases, you want to pull your racer out of the shed after watching.
Seen this at Moviefest over the weekend, To be honest i wouldnt have gone to see it but really enjoyed it and the story is pretty good, A lot of nods to classis Horroe movies and bit of the sixth Sense in there too.
The stop motion is excellant.Well worth a look and a few laughs in there.
Good movie, enjoyed it but you will prob ask yourself did they really need to reboot or could they just have got a new cast and director and done the same thing.Everyone know the origin story now and the gettin used to his new powers bit so not a lot they can do there.
The story is good and fx are pretty cool and spidey looks good.Garfield and stone and both very good an am looking forward to what is gonna happen in the next two movies (Trilogy now announced)
Well worth a look if planning a trip to the pics.
Well the marvel movie all the fans have been waiting for since Nick Fury showed up at the end of iron man 4 years ago has arrived, was it worth the wait? Deffo! The Avengers is great and fans of all the previous movies will not be dissapointed , you would wonder if it would work with iron Man , The Hulk, Thor & captain America etc all in one movie but it does, Tony Stark / Iron Man does get some of the best lines though.great story and great action, all go in the NY battle that will have you on the edge of your seat and the best 3D I've seen in a while.this is a must see if you like comic book movies or enjoy a good ole summer blockbuster, roll on Avengers 2 .
This is a great popcorn flick and a must see if you like ation movies, IF you enjoyed the other MI movies you will enjoy this, The Movie starts with the team breaking Ethan Hunt out of Prison and is all go from there,The stunts are great esp the edge of seat stunt on the Burj Khalifa in Abu Dhabi.
Brad Bird can deffo do great live action flicks as well as animated films, will be interesting to see what he does next.
I just wish we had an iMAX so could have seen it on it.
if your planning to pay a visit to the flicks soon go see this, well worth a look.Roll on more MI movies.
Real Steel is a mixture of Rocky, Transformers & the champ, Charlie (Jackman) is a retired boxer who makes money out of boxing robots and owes a lot of money to several people, his ex girlfriend dies leaving him with custody of a son he dosnt know or want.
He ends up spending a few weeks with his son Max and they find a new robot to train to box and bond along the way.
The robot fighting effects are pretty cool and the fights are enjoyable as the underdog Robot called Atom works his way up in the robot fighting world. I really enjoyed this and is deffo a good family film and kids will get a real kick out of the robot fights.well worth a trip to the pics for Fathers and sons everywhere.
The whole idea of a movie could have turned out crap if handled in a cheesy way but its not & i was surprised and how serious the film is and the charactors and made all the better that Craig, Ford and the rest are not cracking stupid jokes throughout.
some good action. The style of the film is good with the classic western and the sci fi mix and great that not all the action takes place at night or in the dark and great you get a good look at the Aliens and big battle towards the end, where with a lot of Alien movies you dont realy see the Aliens, good effects and cgi looks good.
As summer blockbusters go its a good popcorn flick and was nice to get a break from 3D as i dont think it would have worked as well in 3D, As Jon Favreau said in Moviefest intro it wasnt shot digitally to keep it authentic and you can deffo tell.
Craig plays a good part as the moody cowboy without a memory who wakes up with stange braclet on and dosnt who why or who he is, Ford is good as the towns tough guy ex general rancher, Sam Rockwell could have been given a bit more to do though. If you like sci fi you will enjoy but if goin with small kids can see them covering their eyes for parts.
This Movie was a great start to Moviefest on Sunday, Seen the trailer and just thougt it would be ok but it was atually hilarious was much funnier than i expected and story flows nicely.
Jesse Eisenberg is kidnapped by two bad guys who need to get hold of 100k, They who strap a bomb to him and force him to rob a bank to get the cash, he inlists the help of his mate with hillarious results.
Some great one liners and the charactors are far from pc with their statements throughout, If you want a laugh i would thoroughly recomend.
I really enjoyed this movie,Good Story and great acting from the kids, Took me back to when i seen Goonies, Gremlins as a kid, can see the Speilberg influences and is like a tribute to him, But Abrams was a kid who seen these movies and made his own as a kid which is were half the plot came from.
Its half kids coping with loss an half b monster movie, Go see you will enjoy plus will take you back to the good old days of summer blackbusters as a kid.
Thanks for the tickets guys.
Very enjoyable movie, great effects and the skinny pre Captain America Steve Rogers is well done, some nods to previous Marvel films which fans wil enjoy.
As summer blockbusters goe Captain America is well worth a look, Plenty of action and great popcorn flick,Does it really need to be in 3-D Probably not.
Can deffo see the Raiders of the Lost ark influence as Joe Johnston worked on it too.If you enjoyed Iron Man,Thor and X -Men First Class you will get a kick out of this, Bring on the Avengers!
Stick around after credits for teaser.
If you are planning a trip to the pics X-Men is deffo worth the Dont let the terrible last X-Men film that was out a few years ago put you off.
The movies starts off in 1944 then jumps to the 60's telling the story of a young Magneto & Professor X,good story and some good action and a few nice nods to the previous X-Men films.
Matthew Vaughn does a great job rebooting the franchise and can see major bond influences in the first hour, very enjoyable and you will be looking forward to seeing more X-Men movies in the future.
Go see Nuff said!
(Warning if you dont want to hear about spoilers avoid reading any mag reviews or comicbook websites)
The best way i can describe Source Code is that it a mixture of Quantum Leap (For those that watched it) Grounhog Day and Denzel Washington's Deja Vu from a few years back.
Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) is sent back in time 8 minutes before a train explosion to try and find out who the bomber is,he goes back several times finding out info along the way, much like the choose you own adventure books from years ago.Gyllenhaal plays a good part as has not the done action type role much before and has good chemistry with Monaghan support from Farmiga , The movie deffo keeps your attention throughout and has a few edge of seat moments,Duncan's style is good will keep the sci fi fans happy and will have you pondering about time travel after you see it .
Go see it's well worth a trip to the pics.
