This Movie was a great start to Moviefest on Sunday, Seen the trailer and just thougt it would be ok but it was atually hilarious was much funnier than i expected and story flows nicely. Jesse Eisenberg is kidnapped by two bad guys who need to get hold of 100k, They who strap a bomb to him and force him to rob a bank to get the cash, he inlists the help of his mate with hillarious results. Some great one liners and the charactors are far from pc with their statements throughout, If you want a laugh i would thoroughly recomend.

I really enjoyed this movie,Good Story and great acting from the kids, Took me back to when i seen Goonies, Gremlins as a kid, can see the Speilberg influences and is like a tribute to him, But Abrams was a kid who seen these movies and made his own as a kid which is were half the plot came from. Its half kids coping with loss an half b monster movie, Go see you will enjoy plus will take you back to the good old days of summer blackbusters as a kid. Thanks for the tickets guys.

Very enjoyable movie, great effects and the skinny pre Captain America Steve Rogers is well done, some nods to previous Marvel films which fans wil enjoy. As summer blockbusters goe Captain America is well worth a look, Plenty of action and great popcorn flick,Does it really need to be in 3-D Probably not. Can deffo see the Raiders of the Lost ark influence as Joe Johnston worked on it too.If you enjoyed Iron Man,Thor and X -Men First Class you will get a kick out of this, Bring on the Avengers! Stick around after credits for teaser.

If you are planning a trip to the pics X-Men is deffo worth the Dont let the terrible last X-Men film that was out a few years ago put you off. The movies starts off in 1944 then jumps to the 60's telling the story of a young Magneto & Professor X,good story and some good action and a few nice nods to the previous X-Men films. Matthew Vaughn does a great job rebooting the franchise and can see major bond influences in the first hour, very enjoyable and you will be looking forward to seeing more X-Men movies in the future. Go see Nuff said! (Warning if you dont want to hear about spoilers avoid reading any mag reviews or comicbook websites)

Source Code

The best way i can describe Source Code is that it a mixture of Quantum Leap (For those that watched it) Grounhog Day and Denzel Washington's Deja Vu from a few years back. Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) is sent back in time 8 minutes before a train explosion to try and find out who the bomber is,he goes back several times finding out info along the way, much like the choose you own adventure books from years ago.Gyllenhaal plays a good part as has not the done action type role much before and has good chemistry with Monaghan support from Farmiga , The movie deffo keeps your attention throughout and has a few edge of seat moments,Duncan's style is good will keep the sci fi fans happy and will have you pondering about time travel after you see it . Go see it's well worth a trip to the pics.

This was a lot better than i expected, Good action and a good blockbuster well worth seeing on the big screen. The story is pretty basic and there is a few cliches, but thats hard to avoid now cause there has been so mnay Alian invasion movies, would have been good to see the aliens a bit more but no time with the battle. Its getting a few crap reviews from the critics but i wouldnt let that stop you, if you just want a trip to the movies and be entertained than this does the job.

The Adjustment Bureau

Firstly this movie is advertised as Bourne meets Inception when it isn't like either or as good, don't get me wrong but just don't go in expecting an edge of seat action thriller. The premise is good saying that everything is planned out and when you miss a bus or had to back home cause you forgot your keys happens for a reason and is controlled by a group It's not a bad film and Damon and Blunt are both good in it and have good chemistry together, the movie just didn't have something to keep it exciting.

This is ok and an enjoyable flick, was expecting a bit when ia heard all these action stars were getting together, some good action but story is not great and a bit slow to get going. Most will prob enjoy the nostalgia but not as good as the action flicks of the 80's Rambo, Commando etc.hopefully the sequel story will be better.Leave brian at door and you'll enjoy.

The A-Team

This is a very enjoyable summerblockbuster plenty of action and will take you back (for the older viewers) to when you used to watch The A Team on Saturday evenings in the 80's. The pace is good and the chemistry between the new A team is good, well worth a look and does what it says on the tin, bring on part 2 and 80's style montage of building a tank outa the contents of a warehouse.

Great movie well worth a look on the big screen, a few good action scenes but not enough whiplash though and slowed a bit in the middle.Plenty of nods to other marvel characters, roll on the Avengers.

This is a great movie, really enjoyable, good story,Great characters and great action. It's so good to go see and film and not be dissapointed after it having a lot of hype, There has been a lot of bad movies out lately and Kick ass does not dissapoint,Fair play to Matthew Vaughn he made this the way he wanted with no interference from hollywood bosses and with great results. If you like comic book movies you'll love this and even if you aren't a comic book fan you'll get a kick out of it.

I seen the preview of this with Movies.ie and have to say i enjoyed it, Its getting a lot of stick from critics but is not a bad film and worth the price of a movie ticket to see on the big screen.Mia Wasikowska is very good as Alice and all the animal sidekicks are good,Tweedle dum and tweedle dee are very funny played by Mat Lucas. The effects are seemless and 3D version is very enjoyable, worth a look.
