Very good superhero movie. Thought the the story behind Captain America's origins was very well done and the CGI at the beginning of the movie is great. I do have some complaints...I didn't like the cheese factor that was heavily present in all the action sequences and I thought that they could have made some potentially excellent action scenes instead of just showing an endless montage of Captain America going around and destroying all the labs. Despite all of this I would recommend this movie to anyone and the ending is pretty good.
This is a movie that had so much promise and it fell short of expectations as the storyline progressed. I love dthe opening 30-40 minutes of this movie it was done beautifully throught he eyes of the kids and the anticipation of what was going to happen next was done very well. However, as the movie progresses they really make a meal of it and the story gets incredibly dull, cheesy and predictable. It could have been so much more!
Excellent movie brilliantly done. It focuses on the apes rather than the humans and it describes their beginning exactly as you would have imagined and it's a very plausible prequel. Would recommend it to anyone regradless of whether you are a fan of the franchise or not.
The movie isn't hilarious. It is definitely watchable with few laugh out loud scenes. As expected it is not a ground breaking comedy , but it was an enjoyable way to spend an hour and a half. The performances were fine. None of the actors did bad. Cameron Diaz was good and pulled off the whole bad teacher thing.
Excellent comedy not your typical "chick flick" which delivers constant laughter. Probably one of the better if not the best R rated comedy out this year. Highly recommended!
Doesn't quite live up to the promise of another Taken-type film. Lacking in real action.
I'll start off by saying that the usual fans of the franchise will love this movie. I think it's probably just as goood as the first one. Even if you're not a fan of Captain Jack there's plenty of silly humour and entertaining action adventure. The movie is not a masterpiece as expected but it's very good at what it does.
Overall, the movie is fine, though the unclear character motivation was a bit confusing and detracted from the overall enjoyment. The movies starts off very strongly and it's an interesting, although previously used, concept , but as the movies moves on it's ruined. The characters are poorly developed and I felt that I didn't really care about any of them and I was a bit confused as to what the point of her whole "quest " was. However, Ronan is very good in it and the Chemical Brothers soundtrack is incredible!
A very enjoyable experience, with splendid visuals and a great dose of witty humor. Thor is a very entertaining flick and much better than the majority of other Marvel superhero movies that have been circulating.
