Godzilla

I rarely leave a movie disappointed but I was very underwhelmed with Godzilla. I felt the pacing of the movie was very slow, and kept building up to an epic showdown with Godzilla which in the end was all just a bit meh. Graphically it all looked great however. I wouldn't feel bad about waiting for the bluray before to see this.

Very, very good movie. Brendan Gleeson gives a great performance and the supporting Irish cast are great. It's a well told story with a pleasant amount of humor that compliments the serious tone of it all. Well worth seeing!

A fair few laughs, but relies a little too much on penis jokes (not that I don't appreciate a good penis joke, but it gets old). Still worth going to see with a few of your friends. Definitely makes you want to go have a few beers after!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Another great installment with the Spider-Man reboot. Plenty of action, a little overkill on the slow motion sequences, but they all look great. Slightly rushed finish but has the makings for a great third installment. Go see it sure!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Since the first movie and even in the Avengers, I think Captain America wasn't the hit with the audience that was expected. Now though, that will probably change. A lot more action, and progressive plot in the grand scheme of phase 2 that should keep everyone happy. I would definitely recommend a trip to the cinema for this one!

Pretty good thriller. Interesting concept, some clever plot twist, and some ridiculous ones too. Decent action and enjoyable watching.

Excellent movie. Very gripping story and great performances all round. Took me a couple of minutes to recognise Jared Leto. Well worth seeing!

The Wolf of Wall Street

It's crazy to believe that this is based on a true story, and what went on during the 80s on Wall Street but it's is very entertaining to watch. Great performances all round, and with all the buzz around the internet at the moment, maybe Leo will finally get that Oscar. Great watching!

The Lego Movie

A lot of fun and pretty hilarious. Felt weird in the cinema since myself and the girlfriend were the only adults that didn't bring a kid, and I also laughed more than anyone else. Definitely go see this!

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Better than the previous installment, slightly faster pace but still drawn out at parts. Again visually impressive and some entertaining action sequences. Given where this film ends, the next installment is going to be very action packed! Well worth going to see.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Apparently I didn't review this... Pretty good, although not quite as enjoyable as the LotR. Visually it's amazing, and the plot is great (although a bit drawn out for the movies). Well worth seeing!

Much for muchness the same as the first. Same humor and therefore very funny! Probably helps to watch with a few friends and share the laughs. Well worth seeing!
