The Eleventh Doctor joins the long-gesting horror-comedy…

Heat Vision reports that Matt Smith (‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Lost River’) has hoped on board the cast of the Burr Steers-directed ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.’

Based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s bestselling novel satirical novel, the long-in-development film parodies Jane Austen’s original classic by adding “unmentionables,” or zombies, to such beloved characters as Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

Production is kicks off next week with a cast that includes Lily James (‘Downton Abbey,’ ‘Cinderella’), Sam Riley (‘Maleficent,’ ‘Byzantium’), Bella Heathcote (‘Not Fade Away,’ ‘Dark Shadows’), Jack Huston (‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘American Hustle’), and Douglas Booth (‘Noah,’ ‘The Riot Club’)

Smith, who recently wrapped on the ‘Terminator’ franchise reboot, ‘Terminator: Genisys,’ will next be seen in Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut ‘Lost River.’
