Gil Kenan (‘Poltergeist,’ ‘Monster House’) has been tapped to take the director’s chair for ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s,’ a live-action film adaptation of the hugely popular survival horror game series.

Created by Scott Cawthon, the videogame takes place at “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza,” a fictional pizza restaurant where the player must act as a night security guard, defending themself from the animatronic animal robots roaming the restaurant.

Kenan will also work on the script alongside Tyler Burton Smith. Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are on board to produce.
