Poltergeist Remake Delayed till 2011
The release date for the forthcoming update of Poltergeist has been put on hold.
Director Vadim Perelman was confirmed to remake the 1982 Tobe Hooper-helmed horror in August. Boogeyman scribes Stiles White and Juliet Snowden later signed on to pen the screenplay for the studio. The proposed project was to debut in cinemas on November 24, 2010.
Now the picture will now be filmed in early 2010, but not in time for its previously announced release date. The studio now plans to open the movie sometime in 2011.
