UPDATE : The original date listed by the Irish government for Irish cinemas to reopen was August 10th, recent changes to the guidelines are now allowing cinemas to open a little earlier on July 20th 2020. Here’s the original article from during the lockdown with the original cinema reopening information:
The Irish Government today released a roadmap for reopening society and businesses across the country and a plan to begin easing lockdown restrictions from May 18th. There are 5 phases in total, each consisting of a menu of options that will be considered by government as it gradually opens up economic and social activities.

Cinemas and theatres alongside pubs and nightclubs are all listed in phase 5, with a reopening date of August 10th.  Mark your diaries now for a cinema date in mid August! Currently a number of films on the release schedule are due to open in July and will likely get new dates to coincide with the August opening date. Watch this space!

July 31st : Spongebob : Sponge On The Run – (new date to be announced soon)

August 14th : Wonder Woman 1984

August 14th : The Secret Garden

August 14th : The One And Only Ivan

August 21st : Bill And Ted Face The Music

August 28th : Spell

Sept 4th : A Quiet Place 2
