Jennifer Garner (‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ ‘Alias,’ ‘The Kingdom’) is set to take the lead in ‘Peppermint,’ a high-action revenge thriller with a premise that has seen it likened to ‘John Wick.’

Featuring a script by Chad St. John, the film centres on a young mother who finds herself with nothing to lose after her husband and daughter are gunned down in a drive-by.

After waking from a coma, the woman spends years learning to become a lethal killing machine and on the 10th anniversary of her family’s death, she targets everyone she holds responsible, the gang that committed the act, the lawyers that got them off, and the corrupt cops that enabled the murderous incidents.

Pierre Morel, best known for directing Liam Neeson’s 2008 hit ‘Taken,’ is behind the camera. Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi of Lakeshore Entertainment are producing, while Renee Tab and Christopher Tuffin executive produce.
