British filmmaker set for noir thriller.
‘Girl With a Pearl Earring’ helmer Peter Webber is said to be taking the director’s chair for the noir thriller ‘Happy Camp.’
Based on a debut screenplay by playwright Zayd Dohrn, the plot follows “a drug-addled former deputy sheriff who, when searching for his missing daughter amongst the complex politics of a rural Californian logging community, unearths a major conspiracy involving his daughter and a devastating forest fire rages.”
‘Happy Camp’ is slatted to begin shooting at the end of the year with Stella Nwimo producing via Bedlam Productions.
