Peter Chelsom Heads OUT OF THIS WORLD

Chelsom lines up next directorial effort…

British filmmaker Peter Chelsom (‘Serendipity,’ ‘Hear My Song,’ ‘The Mighty’) has reportedly closed a deal to take the director’s chair for the sci-fi adventure ‘Out Of This World.’

Per Deadline, the Allan Loeb-penned film is about “a youngster named Gardner, who’s raised in secret by scientists on a Mars colony after the death of his astronaut mother. Sixteen years later, he goes from the Red Planet to Earth and hits the road travelling across America with a young woman, in search of the father he never knew.”

The film is set up at Relativity with Ryan Kavanaugh and Southpaw Entertainment’s Richard B. Lewis producing. Tucker Tooley, Allan Loeb, Steven Pearl and Sasha Harrari are on board as executive producers, with Robbie Brenner and Gabrielle Jerou overseeing development.

Chelsom’s latest offering, the comedy-drama ‘Hector and the Search for Happiness’ starring Simon Pegg, opens in Irish cinemas August 15th.
