Paul Walker in Talks for DISTICT B13 Remake BRICK MANSIONS

Walker in talks for American redo of French action thriller.

Luc Besson and ‘Taken’ co-writer, Robert Mark Kamen have re-teamed to pen ‘Brick Mansion,’ an American revision of Pierre Morel’s Parkour action thriller ‘District B13,’ and Deadline is reporting that ‘Fast Five’ star Paul Walker is in talks to join the cast.

According to the site, the plan is for Walker to star with David Belle, co-founder of the parkour movement and star of the original film and its sequel ‘District 13: Ultimatum.’

The remake will be set in the Chicago suburbs, with Walker playing Damien, an undercover cop chasing a weapon of mass destruction that was stolen by a drug dealer in the ghetto known as Brick Mansions. He seeks help from the incredibly agile Lino (Belle), who knows the streets better than anyone; he is also the only person not cowering in fear of the drug dealers.

A Besson protégé is set to direct but Besson would not reveal the mystery filmmaker. While a production date has yet to be set, it is expected that the action thriller will shoot before Walker moves into ‘Fast and Furious 6.’
