Paul Verhoeven to helm video game adaptation?
Paul Verhoeven is working on a new film based on a video game.
Speaking to MTV, the Robocop helmer revealed that he was adapting a video game, but he did not reveal further detials of the project:
“I am working on a movie now that is… situated in 1914. Basically, Indiana Jones-ish you could say, but also Hitchcockian,” Verhoeven said.
He added: “We are scripting it. It’s an idea that exists already… from another medium, and so we are making it now into a film narrative.”
When asked which medium the story came from, Verhoeven said,” A game, a video game.”
Unconfirmed reported suggest the video game may be The Last Express.
